Delta Announces New Nonstop Service to Detroit in June

SACRAMENTO – Delta (DL) has announced it will offer daily, year-round, nonstop service between Sacramento (SMF) and Detroit, Michigan (DTW) beginning June 17, 2019. This is the sixth Delta hub airport with nonstop service to and from Sacramento International.

“We are excited Delta is adding daily, nonstop service to Detroit,” say Mark Haneke, Air Service Development Manager for the Sacramento County Department of Airports. “This new service will offer Sacramento travelers easy connections to and from the East Coast as well as westbound connections from Europe.”

Flight schedule is as follows:

Detroit – Sacramento

Depart DTW: 7:55 p.m.
Arrive SMF: 10:05 p.m.

Sacramento – Detroit

Depart SMF: 10:50 p.m.
Arrive DTW: 6:14 a.m. (next day)

This new Detroit service marks the 42ndnonstop destination for SMF and positions the airport for continued growth. Sacramento International has seen 10% year over year passenger growth and is on track to serve 12 million passengers in 2018.
