SACRAMENTO – Construction work on westbound Interstate 80 near the junction to Interstate 5 is expected to cause extensive delays from Aug. 26- Aug. 29.  Airport customers using those routes are advised to add 45 minutes to their travel time, or to use Business 80 as an alternate.

The closures are scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Friday, August 26 and continue through 5 a.m. Monday, August 29. Access to and from eastbound I-80 will remain open.

Under the plan, the following ramps will be closed:

  • The north- and southbound I-5 ramps to WB I-80.
  • All WB I-80 ramps at West El Camino.
