Learn more about our Wildlife Hazard Management Program.
The Sacramento County Airport System has a comprehensive Wildlife Hazard Management Program to reduce the threat of aircraft and wildlife interactions. The Program is managed by the Planning and Environment Section and implemented by a team of highly qualified biologists. Sacramento International Airport has a Wildlife Hazard Management Plan that identifies the measures utilized to alleviate or eliminate wildlife and the attractants that pose a hazard to aircraft operations. The Plan also provides a designation of responsible parties, priorities for habitat modification and/or land use changes, and requirements for applicable local, state, and federal permits.
