What does SMF stand for? Well, it stands for So Much Flavor! Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is elevating your travel experience with a brand-new lineup of food and beverage options! We’re thrilled to introduce an array of dining choices that showcase Sacramento’s unique identity as 'America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital.' Whether you’re craving local flavors, quick bites, or a cozy café atmosphere, we’ve got you covered.

A Taste of Sacramento at SMF

Sacramento County Department of Airports (SCDA) took an innovative approach to revamp the dining experience at SMF.

We wanted to make sure the new food and beverage options not only reflect the region’s identity but also meet the diverse needs of our travelers. To get it right, we surveyed passengers, gathered feedback, and carefully evaluated what kinds of eateries would be most appreciated at the airport.

Our goal? To create a program that brings Sacramento’s 'Farm-to-Fork' identity to life while providing choices at various price points. We also focused on supporting local businesses and ensuring diversity by including Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (ACDBE). ACDBE-certified businesses are those owned by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, ensuring equitable opportunities at SMF.

After gathering input, SCDA invited qualified food and beverage operators to submit proposals through an open Request for Proposal (RFP) process. We were thrilled to receive an array of creative concepts, and we carefully selected those that would surprise and delight travelers while offering high-quality services. The goal? To offer high-quality services that not only meet but exceed your expectations. We’re excited to bring in a variety of culinary experiences, from iconic Sacramento eateries to beloved national brands.
