Sacramento International Airport Wins Airport Revenue News Best Customer Service Award
SACRAMENTO, CA. — Airport Revenue News (ARN) proved that Sacramento International Airport’s (SMF) goal of “providing customer service second to none” isn’t just another mission statement. At the ARN 2011 Best Airport & Concessionaire Awards SMF was announced as the Airport with the Best Customer Service in the medium sized airports category. The awards were announced at ARN’s annual Airport Revenue Conference & Exhibition held last week in National Harbor, Maryland.
“This award reinforces that we are committed to offering consistent customer service that is second to none,” said Hardy Acree, Director of Airports. “As the Gateway to Northern California and the World, how our customers are served while at the airport is as important as their experience at their destination.”
SMF concessionaires also fared well at the 2011 Best Airport & Concessionaire Awards. Vino Volo received three awards in the Small Concessionaire category: Best Overall Retailer; Food Operator with the Highest Regard for Customer Service; Best Overall Food & Beverage Operator. SMF master concessionaires The Paradies Shops (Retailer with the Highest Regard for Customer Service; Best Retail Specialty Brand Operator; Best Overall Retailer) and HMSHost Corp. (Food Operator with the Highest Regard for Customer Service; Best Overal Food & Beverage Operator) were also honored.
With Central Terminal B planned to open later this year, the future looks especially bright for SMF. The new terminal will include 2011 Best Airport & Concessionaire award winners Famous Famiglia (Food Operator with the Highest Regard for Customer Service) and SSP America (Best Food & Beverage Brand Operator) in addition to a new Vino Volo location, and brands managed by The Paradies Shops and HMS Host.
