Sacramento International Airport, Volaris Announce New Nonstop Service to Morelia, Michoacán
SACRAMENTO, CA – Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is proud to announce a new nonstop route to Morelia, Michoacán (MLM) with Volaris, beginning July 4, 2025. This new route provides a convenient travel option for passengers with ties to Mexico while also fostering business and tourism opportunities between the two regions.
The new service will operate four times per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with the following schedule:
MLM ➔ SMF | Departs 7:13 PM | Arrives 10:30 PM
SMF ➔ MLM | Departs 11:59 PM | Arrives 4:52 AM
“We are excited to welcome Volaris' new nonstop service to Morelia, a city with deep connections to our Sacramento community,” said Cindy Nichol, Director of the Sacramento County Department of Airports. “This route not only enhances connectivity to Mexico but also supports economic growth by facilitating trade and tourism between our regions.”
Sacramento International Airport continues to expand its international offerings, strengthening its role as a key gateway for travelers in Northern California. This route is in addition to the current nonstops offered by Volaris to Guadalajara (GDL), Mexico City (MEX), and León (BJX).
