Sacramento International Airport currently has two runways that are oriented in a generally north/south direction. These are Runways 17L/35R and 17R/35L. The airport has room to expand as needed and can accommodate one additional runway as well as a 2,400 foot extension to Runway 17L/35R. Commercial and residential development is actively occurring in the Natomas area and there is room for much more residential growth in North Sacramento and South Sutter Counties.
