Aeromexico Adds Non-Stop Service Between Sacramento and Mexico City Effective April 6

SACRAMENTO, CA – Aeromexico, Mexico´s global airline, will begin offering nonstop flights between Sacramento (SMF) to Mexico City (MEX) beginning April 6, airport officials have announced.  The three-times-a-week flights will give travelers fast access to the capital of Mexico as well as easy one-stop connections within Mexico to Cancun, Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, and San Jose in Costa Rica, among others.

Aeromexico will operate these flights with Boeing 737 aircraft, which seats 132 passengers – 12 of them on Clase Premier (the carrier’s First Class), with the following schedules*:

Located in Terminal B, Aeromexico began offering nonstop flights between Sacramento and Guadalajara in 2011. Mexico City is their first service expansion at Sacramento International Airport.  

“We’re excited that Aeromexico has decided to add this new international route, which serves a vital corridor in the Latin American market,” said Sacramento County Director of Airports John Wheat.

Aeromexico's Chief Revenue Officer, Anko van der Werff said, “With the start of these new flights, we now offer service to 29 different routes from the United States to Mexico, which consolidates us as the airline with more and better options to travel between these countries.”
