CLEAR Brings Touchless Security Screening to Sacramento International Airport

Sacramento, CA – Today, CLEAR announced its trusted and secure identity technology and expedited lanes are now available in Terminal A at Sacramento International Airport (SMF). CLEAR is a secure identity company using your eyes to confirm who you are and help you move through experiences fast and frictionless. The announcement is part of the company’s continued growth throughout California. In addition to SMF, CLEAR’s touchless technology is located in 36 airports and 55 venues nationwide.

As air travel continues to be impacted, CLEAR is committed to doing its part to promote the health and safety of all airport travelers and agents. CLEAR’s touchless travel experience minimizes unnecessary passenger and airport personnel interaction by eliminating the need for CLEAR members to hand travel documents to agents during the security screening process.

“CLEAR’s technology brings speed and safety to Sacramento International Airport at a time when innovation is needed most to best serve our customers,” said Cindy Nichol, Director of Airports, Sacramento County Airport System. “We look forward to CLEAR bringing touchless travel to our airport passengers and elevating their experience.”

“We strive to deliver unstoppable experiences that keep our members moving faster and safer through airport security,” said CLEAR Chairman and CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker. “We will continue providing our customers with frictionless interactions as we expand our secure technology platform to more networks nationwide.”

The rigorously tested and U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) certified CLEAR identification technology relies upon double-encrypted biometric data. Family Plans are also available for an additional $50 per adult per year. Children under 18 do not need to be added to your Family Plan and can join for free.
