Holiday Parcels Temporaily Increase Mather Flights
SACRAMENTO - Mather Airport expects increased UPS flight operations through Christmas in response to the normal increase in cargo volume during the holidays.
Cargo operations gradually increase the first week of December through Dec. 14, peaking at the week of Dec. 15-Dec. 21. A gradual return to normal flight operations will begin the week of Dec. 22-30 and carry into January 2014.
In addition to holiday packages, UPS carries retail stock, manufacturing supplies and consumer goods. Cargo flights are critical to ensure that the Sacramento region quickly receives vital items such as pharmaceuticals and medical equipment.
