New Non-Stop Service between Sacramento & Vancouver Begins May 2018

SACRAMENTO – Air Canada (AC) will begin offering daily nonstop service between Sacramento and Vancouver (YVR), British Columbia beginning May 17, 2018. Service will operate on a daily, year-round basis. Tickets are now on sale at www.aircanada.com

Air Canada will operate out of Terminal A. Flights will take place on a CRJ-700 offering business and economy class service.

Passengers traveling from Canada to Sacramento will clear US customs prior to boarding in Vancouver.

“We are very pleased to announce the start of the only Canadian transborder, non-stop flights from Sacramento to Vancouver, BC next spring. We look forward to welcoming onboard customers travelling to beautiful British Columbia for both business and leisure on our daily, year-round flights.  We’re also excited to introduce local area customers connecting onward at our Vancouver transpacific hub to our extensive global network to Asia, Europe and across Canada on North America’s Best Airline as rated by Skytrax,” said Benjamin Smith, president of Passenger Airlines at Air Canada.

“Vancouver is a popular business and leisure destination that has been on our wish list for some time,” said John Wheat, Director of Airports for the Sacramento County Department of Airports. “We are happy to welcome this new international carrier to Sacramento.”

Air Canada last served Sacramento with service to Vancouver from June 2007-October 2008.
