New nonstop connects Sacramento to fall playground getaway
SACRAMENTO – Today, Contour Airlines launched seasonal daily service from SMF to Palm Springs International Airport that will run through May 14, 2020. The inaugural flight departed SMF at 10:45am for Palm Springs and will arrive back at SMF at 2:30pm.
In addition to the new daily nonstop to Palm Springs, Contour Airlines launched a second daily nonstop to Santa Barbara.
“We are thrilled to add new nonstop service to Palm Springs and a second daily nonstop to Santa Barbara,” says Cindy Nichol, Sacramento County Department of Airports Director. “The addition of the flights to these two very popular destinations from Sacramento highlights the region’s demand for more intra-California service.”
The Palm Springs region is a golfer’s paradise with more than 120 golf courses to choose from across the region. Temperate weather attracts players to the green fairways despite the desert landscape.
Whether travelers are looking to relax on the beach or indulge in a delicious Pinot Noir, Santa Barbara offers plenty of attractions and activities from outdoor recreation to seaside art and culture.
