New Website Map Shows Where Parking is Available at Sacramento International Airport
SACRAMENTO - Customers can now view parking availability and locations at Sacramento International Airport by visiting the parking page on the airport website.
The parking page graphic uses a green-yellow-red scale, with green indicating ample availability, yellow showing limited availability and red indicating almost full.
The map shows the number of spaces available at each parking facility. When a lot or the garage is full, the map will show it as closed.
Maps are updated dynamically on the website and are refreshed every five minutes. Passengers are encouraged to check the website for the latest parking information before they enter the airport, as parking conditions change quickly.
There is no app available with this parking information; it is only available via the airport website, and can be viewed on a smart phone or tablet.
The map was developed in response to customer requests for real-time parking information prior to their arrival at the airport. The economy lot tends to fill to capacity on summer weekends and holidays while the parking garage often fills to capacity on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the peak months for business travel: February-June and September-November.
