Sacramento International Airport announces the launch of direct service to Miami on American Airline
Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is thrilled to announce the first-ever nonstop service to Miami International Airport (MIA) via American Airlines, offering exciting travel opportunities and providing a seamless journey from the capital city of California to the bustling shores of Miami. The inaugural flight will depart on December 21, 2023, aboard the spacious and comfortable Airbus A321 aircraft.
"We are ecstatic to launch this nonstop service from Sacramento to Miami,” said Cindy Nichol, Director of Sacramento County Department of Airports, “This new route not only provides our passengers with a convenient and seamless travel experience, but it also opens up a world of possibilities for those looking to explore Florida and beyond to Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America.”
With the launch of this new nonstop route, travelers from Sacramento can now easily access the vibrant city of Miami, known for its stunning beaches, lively cultural scene and vibrant nightlife. Whether it's basking in the Florida sunshine, exploring the enchanting neighborhoods of Little Havana and Wynwood, or indulging in the city's diverse culinary offerings, Miami has something to offer every visitor. Additionally, Miami is a major hub for international flights, connecting easily to popular destinations like Cancun, Jamaica, the Bahamas, and the Dominican Republic. It also allows Sacramento residents to easily start exciting cruises from the Port of Miami.
