SCAS Names New Agency of Record for Advertising, Marketing and Creative Services

Sacramento, CA – March 16, 2010 Taking flight in a new direction, the Sacramento County Airport System (SCAS) has hired a new agency to handle all marketing and advertising efforts for the SCAS as well as the Big Build at Sacramento International Airport. Hiltachk Marketing Group of Sacramento, Calif. is the new agency of record.

Hiltachk Marketing Group represents a new breed of “virtual agencies” quickly taking hold in the new marketing business climate.

“Clients get the best of both worlds with executive-level experts covering all aspects of their needs but in a more nimble environment with less costly overhead than a traditional agency,” Kim Hiltachk, President of Hiltachk Marketing Group said.

Hiltachk Marketing Group combines the talents of three entities, all leaders in their fields. Hiltachk Marketing Group, the lead agency, offers their clients a customized a team of senior level strategists who focus on creating relevant intersections with clearly defined target audiences. Kimberlie Hiltachk, founder of Hiltachk Marketing Group, and Eric Worden, Creative Director, bring extensive experience in tourism marketing. Hiltachk started her career working on Amtrak California and the California Division of Tourism at MeringCarson (formerly Mering & Associates), then continued her work on Amtrak California, among other brands, at Glass McClure. Worden, former associate creative director at MeringCarson, has spent the better part of his career developing creative campaigns for the California Division of Tourism, Fiji and numerous others.

Partnering with Hiltachk Marketing Group, Staples Marketing was selected to support media planning and buying and provide graphic design services. Staples Marketing brings an extensive background in media planning, buying and marketing for transportation clients including: General Mitchell International Airport (Milwaukee), Dane County Regional Airport (Madison), Amtrak Hiawatha Service, Amtrak Midwest Regional Office, Long Island Rail Road, and the Kern County (Bakersfield) Commuter Connection. Hiltachk Marketing Group added Heather Atherton to the team to offer communications strategy in concert with the advertising program recognizing her previous industry experience.

The Big Build is the largest capital project in the history of Sacramento County and when complete will deliver a brand new terminal building and airside concourse. This new facility will serve the air transportation needs of the region for decades to come.”

Hiltachk Marketing Group will be the SCAS’ agency of record from March 2010 through 2013 with the possibility of two one-year contract extensions. This time period will include the remaining construction period as well as the grand opening of the new Central Terminal B at Sacramento International Airport.
